COMOCONNECTS assists seniors so they can remain living in their homes and the community they love by providing access to volunteer and professional service​s, programs such as Blood Pressure Clinics and events like Sip & Dish - to keep seniors connected and active.  We can help with Waiver Options  and No Cost Services.

Sip & Dish

Sip & Dish is a lively get-together with other seniors in the neighborhood, sponsored by COMOConnects.  Refreshments will be provided.

Need a ride?  Call (651) 642-1127 a week in advance, we’ll help you out.  Space is accessible and there’s plenty of parking!

Technology Support

Are you 65+ and interested in learning more about technology?

Do you have a smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer?  or are interested in getting one?  These are great tools for keeping in touch with friends and family, taking an online exercise classes, participating in virtual spiritual events, engaging in lifelong learning activities, ordering groceries and filling prescriptions, create reminders, contact emergency numbers by voice command and more!

If you would like to better use your device or learn more about ways technology can be a great tool - give us a call!  ComoConnects has IT (Internet/Technology) support at no cost for seniors that live in our service area.

Transportation Services

Seniors (65+) in our service area are eligible for free transportation services to and from doctor visits, dental visits, pharmacies and grocery stores/food shelves.

Live Well at Home Screenings

Our staff provides at no cost to you, over the phone discussions about health concerns and goals that will help you develop an individualized care plan including, but not limited to, volunteer help, community resources, food resourcing, and transportation.

Volunteer Support

Partnerships between our volunteers and their elders bring joy and meaning to their lives with each visit.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and provide valuable services such as, but not limited to, round-trip transportation to medical, dental, or grocery store visits, friendly visits, chore support, fall & spring yard clean-up, and IT support. All of these qualify as respite to the elder's caregiver and are greatly appreciated beyond a visible scope.

Homemaker Services

Our Homemaker is able to provide light housekeeping duties.  Services can include:
  • Laundry
    These services can include washing, drying, and putting clothes away. We will involve the client to make sure laundry is done according to their preferences.

  • Light Homemaking
    Light homemaking services can include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms (sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets), cleaning kitchens (sinks, appliances, counters, taking out trash) and straightening up, time permitting. **

Cost for a Homemaker (light cleaning only) is $30-$40 per hour based on income and we have a minimum of 90 minutes. Homemaking services are limited to twice/month. ComoConnects is a non-profit organization and can provide the essential duties listed below. ** ComoConnects Homemaking does not include purging, reorganizing, or any other deep cleaning.

In-Home Foot Care
(These services are available to Como Park and Falcon Heights Residents only)

Our Nail Technician, Carol, will come to the home and provide foot care for seniors. Give us a call and Carol will get back to you to figure out the details.

Foot care includes:
  • Assessment of feet
  • Foot soak
  • Nail trim
  • Nail filing
  • Callus work
  • Dry skin removal
  • Leg and foot massage

​Cost:  $40.00 per visit. 
More about our Foot Technician
​Carol is a licensed Nail Technician with a homebound permit in the Minnesota area. She travels to people who are unable or uncomfortable going to salons and provide manicures and pedicures.  Carol provides services in homes, hospitals, transitional care, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, and hospice facilities.

Community Outreach

Community Outreach includes education, technical support, and partnerships with community organizations that allow us to do presentations on aging issues, caregiver support, blood pressure clinics, and many options.

CPR classes for the community

Caregiver Support

Are you a caregiver and feeling a bit frazzled? Over whelmed with all there is to do?  Confused on which resources are good and which aren't? Well, there is support for you too!  Two monthly caregiver support groups are hosted by the Living at Home Block Nurse Programs, one by St. Anthony Park Area Seniors and the other by Hamline Midway Elders. All are welcome.
